Additional Information about Ingredients:

Arnica (arnica montana): Also known as leopard’s bane, has been used as a topical medicine since at least the sixteenth century. Now modern clinical research shows it to be equal to topical ibuprofen in treating osteoarthritis of the hands. Contains helenalin, a sesquiterpene lactone that is a major ingredient in anti inflammatory preparations. One preliminary study found that arnica gel applied twice daily reduced symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee. Another double-blind study found that a combination of topical arnica ointment and oral homeopathic arnica tablets reduced pain in people recovering from hand surgery. This is the first study to compare arnica and ibuprofen for osteoarthritis pain.

Glucosamine:
an amino derivative of the simple sugar glucose, is an important constituent of many natural polysaccharides and supports cartilage. Glucosamine is a naturally occurring chemical found in the body. This product combines the amino acid polymer with potassium and sulfate (SO4). Glucosamine helps the body synthesize and produce specialized molecules called glycosaminoglycans. Glucosamine plays an important role as an intermediate in the biosynthetic pathway of proteoglycans, the main building blocks of connective tissue and cartilage.

Chili Seed Essential Oil:
is credited by aromatherapists as being an analgesic, and anti-inflammatory.

Chondroitin sulfate is a glycosaminoglycan (GAG) - also known as a mucopolysaccharide - a type of compound that binds to collagen and elastin in the formation of cartilage. Chondroitin sulfate is a biological polymer derived from connective tissue and supports cartilage production. As the body ages, it becomes less effective at repairing and regenerating tissues that include cartilage, which acts as a shock absorber for joints and vertebrae. Chondroitin supports the integrity and resilience of cartilage.

Sage: Eases pain of arthritis, rheumatism, and muscular aches.

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane): MSM is an organic sulfur compound. Sulfur is needed to form connective tissue. MSM also acts as an analgesic by lessening nerve impulses that transmit pain.

Wintergreen (gaultheria procumbens): Wintergreen oil is comprised of a compound known as methyl salicylate, aspirin is salicylic acid. The two words sound similar because they are allied compounds. In both instances, the compounds inhibit the inflammatory process and the pain transmission process. Research has revealed that methyl salicylate is absorbed through the skin. When applied over sore muscles and joints one experiences the same relief as one would if one took an aspirin.

Menthol (mentha arvensis): Menthol is one of the most effective arthritis pain relievers. When applied to the skin, menthol stimulates the nerves for the perception of cold, while depressing those which perceive pain. The preliminary feeling of coolness is soon followed by a sensation of warmth.

Pure emu oil:
As a powerful anti-inflammatory, Emu oil reduces the pain and swelling of arthritis. A recent study from Southern Medical University in Gangzhou, China, showed that emu oil inhibits skin inflammation, and another study performed at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell showed that emu oil applied topically decreased the level of tumor necrosis factor-? and interleukin-1, both cytokines that indicate inflammation.

Pure Grapeseed oil: Grape seed oil can help prevent arthritis because it maintains healthy collagen, the fibrous part of connective joint tissue. If you suffer from arthritis, grape seed oil can reduce the inflammation that causes pain.
